Architectural Programming is the discipline of developing an itemized breakdown of spaces and required areas for those spaces, performance criteria for structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, accessibility, sustainability, adjacencies of spaces, and furnishings, fixtures and equipment. From there, we develop a shopping list of all of the items that need to be added into the project. We develop adjacency analysis information to insure that the layout is the most efficient for the money that you will be spending. And, we strive to compile information relevant to visual appearance and style so that the end result looks like what you want it to be. At this level, a more realistic budget is determined for the project.
This phase is part of ‘pre-construction’ that typically goes before a building exists. We will help you codify and delineate your ideas so that the final architectural product may reach and achieve your goals and aspirations.
