Seven Steps to Getting the Permit

It doesn’t have to be a daunting process…

Most people are concerned when starting an architectural project because of fear of the unknown… what will it cost? can I get it finished in enough time? am I going to get ripped off?

Here is how we do it:

Each project is different, but the process for all projects is similar.

  1. Who are You? We need to know your address, the size of the affected area, and what type of project it will be. You can text it to us at 661.713.0599 along with your email address and we will get an estimate to you within 1 to 2 business days.
  2. What Will it Cost? If you like the estimate, you sign a contract, pay an advance, and then we start the project.
  3. What is there? If you do not have ‘as-built’ or building survey information, we have a skilled professional come to your house or place of business and document your existing architectural conditions, while we also learn from you the nature of the things you would like to have designed for you as applicable.
  4. What Will it Be? We may have up to 4 design iterations where we seek to understand your unique situation and circumstances and develop solutions for your problems. It may be fewer if we arrive at the design you like early on.
  5. It’s Your Party – You select from those the solution that best fits your needs.
  6. … the Details – We have our team of consulting engineers design it to submit to the government for approval. They may be different from the time before, as everyone is busy at different times.
  7. … the end of the beginning – You earn the building permit and then you can start construction! – it’s that simple.
